| Most important, every DiMeola is guaranteed to have a proper draw and an even burn.
Proper draw?
The most frequent source of complaint about premium, hand made cigars has
to do with the draw—the ease or difficulty with which smoke is drawn
into the mouth. Hard draw is the most serious. When you can’t get any
smoke at all, the cigar is said to be plugged, which is the most frustrating.
There you are, sucking away, cheeks concaved, with no results, after spending
a fortune for what you thought was going to be a pleasant experience. Some
brands contain an inordinate percentage of cigars that are plugged or hard
to draw. When this occurs, you’re entitled to your money back.
Easy draw can be a problem, too. If a cigar is under-filled, it generally
will draw easily, but it can also become too hot, bitter and unpleasant. There
are not very many complaints about this because it is not recognized as a deficiency
in construction. It is seen merely as a cigar with an undesirable taste, one
that you won’t go back to.
The draw of a DiMeola is guaranteed. If you buy any that are plugged or too
hard to draw, we’ll replace it with two free for your trouble.
How can we make this guarantee? Every DiMeola cigar is mechanically tested
for draw during the production process—not once, but twice. So we’re
sure that 99.9% of the cigars we pack draw properly. Actually, until June 24,
2002, we thought perhaps it was 100% because we hadn’t had one complaint.
But, on that day, a consumer in New York reported a plugged Regalia? We sent
him two cigars immediately, sight unseen, based merely on his report. We asked
this gentleman to please keep smoking them, to try to find another plugged
DiMeola somewhere? Since then, there have been no further complaints. |
