» Cigars vs. Cigarettes

After 45 years in the cigar business, from my days in Cuban Cigars, 1956 – 1962 (The Cuban Embargo was signed by President John F. Kennedy in February 1962) to controlling the manufacture, marketing and sales of some of the most famous cigar trademarks in the world, I know what makes a good cigar. It’s much more than taste.

I wanted to produce a cigar under my own name that would reflect the insight, gained over the years, into what I know smokers of fine, hand made cigars want in their product, what they deserve. Cigars are not like cigarettes. They deliver a different level of pleasure and satisfaction.

I will not rate cigars on any numerical scale, although, while I have an opinion about rating systems, I do not berate those who do. I simply know what I like. I believe most smokers do, too.

This is what I have produced in the DiMeola cigar, —one that I like—feeling that my taste is ubiquitous, my demand for quality so universal, many other lovers of the leaf will appreciate them, too.

There has been a bit of Commentary since DiMeolas have been on the market—all of it good to exceptional. I have traveled the country promoting the brand personally, achieving high frequent traveler status in hotels and airlines, meeting and learning from hundreds of premium cigar smokers. It has been a labor of love.

If you love fine, hand made cigars, you really owe it to yourself to try this one. Go into the Commentary. Find out what others have said about it. If you would like to try one and don't know where to find them, you can conveniently order any quantity, from a single cigar to multiple boxes, right here in this Web site.
